Employee Intension About Attrition in Indian IT Sector

Abstract
The present paper explores the challenges that are faced by the employers and HR managers in the context of alarming increase in the attrition of the employees in the Indian Information Technology sector. This present phenomenon is a bane not only to the employees in Indian IT sector but to all other sectors in the global market. This paper discusses and evaluates the intensions of the employees of the IT sector about the attrition and about the different reasons that contribute to the ever growing problem of attrition. Design/Methodology: The study evaluated 120 employees of the different IT companies in India. Convenience method of data collection is considered and questionnaire was administered which contained different issues specifically pertaining to compensation, job specific, peers relations, career growth and organizational culture. Results: The results indicated that the reasons of attrition among the IT employees are dynamic in nature. There is a change in the opinions of the employees about the reasons for attrition with a change in their age, gender, education, marital status, qualification and designation.
