Paper Title
IoT based Field Monitoring and Irrigation Management

Abstract
Agriculture accounts for most of our water usage. Quality and quantity of water can affect agricultural activities. To ensure an ample supply of good quality water in a timely and labour effective manner we propose IOT (Internet of Things) based irrigation system. The project is divided into 3 parts: Irrigation control, water quality measurement and field sensor. The Field sensor includes soil moisture sensor, temperature sensor, humidity sensor, light intensity sensor and GPS. The measured values from these sensors are processed by an onboard microcontroller. A Raspberry pi collects data remotely from field and water quality sensors to maintain a database which can be monitored using a website. It controls water pump on the basis of water content of the soil and user given parameters.
