Abstract
The purpose of the study is to extract and identify water features in agricultural area by thewater indicestechnique on landsat8 satellite imagery (in dry season). The water indices as a tool and have anefficient technique of remote sensing and graphic information system (GIS) for extraction of water resource inthe agricultural area case study is in Pa Po sub district, Ban Phi district, KhonKaen province, Thailand. TheNDWI MNDWI1 and MNDWI2 index can be usedfor studying in case for boundary different of water feature in dry seasons. This technique and the knowledge in this study, reducing costsof job survey by using the technique of remote sensing and GIS. The result reveals the water indices can be usedand applied as powerful of potential tools for planning and monitoring water resource on agriculturallandscapeand similar environment case in the future. The validation of water feature extraction in the study was presented the overall accuracy of NDWI MNDWI1 and MNDWI2 techniques access 99.97%, 99.31% and 98.92%, the result of a kappa coefficient is 0.48, 0.61and0.60 respectively. MNDWI1 and MNDWI2 in the range of positive value which, indicated the result of water feature is considered a good quality assessment. The results of this study can be applied the water indicestechnique to extract and identified water feature for water resources development.
