Student Self-Assessment: A Powerful Tool of Assessment for Learning

Abstract
The successful of improving educational standard quality could be occurred if teachers can operate effectively in the classroom. As we have recognized that assessment has played an important role of the educational quality. Formative assessment or assessment for learning seems to be the most important factor in driving better learning, and could be able to equal learning opportunities to the students, students can understand clearly of their purposes, now where are they, where is to next, and how to reach the target. This research is aimed at studying the impact of student self-assessment in assessment for learning procedure. The research findings will be suggested that how student self-assessment affected on successful learning, and the advantages of self – assessment for teacher, students, parents, and for the school principal.
