Domestic Violence against Women in India: Family Threat

Abstract
Abstract - Violence against women in India is a problem arising from social norms and economic dependence. Homicide, domestic violence, sexual assault, and other forms of gender-based violence are the true causes of feminization many girls and women live in India. Spouse abuse affects the physical and mental health of abused women and even their children. Although women's participation in public life is growing and laws are changing, India still has a long way to go to make Indian women equal citizens in their country. In our society, many women are abused by their partners while suffering silently. In some cases, domestic violence has resulted in the death of these women. This study discusses the definition, causes, types of domestic violence, and its effects on abused women. In addition, this article discusses the management of this threat to women and explores the role that social workers, professionals, and other volunteers can play in providing feedback to affected people.
