Comparative Study Of Locus Of Control Among Selected Team Games

Abstract
Abstract - Researcher conducted comparative study with600 athletes (Handball n=150, Football n=150, Hockey n=150, Handball n=150) by using Random purposive sampling method age ranging from 18 to 40 years, who represented at least National from any state of India. By aiming to Assess Locus of Control Among Football, Handball, Volleyball and Handball players, Locus of control questionnaire was used designed by Julian rotter, 29 items werethere in questionnaire and For the data analysis Descriptive statistics a) Means and b) Standard Deviation were computed which showed M±SD of Football is 10.63±3.142, Volleyball 10.84±2.968, Hockey is 10.02±3.024, Handball is 11.49±2.866 overall M±SD of Locus of Control was found to be 10.75±3.040, which Shows Handball players have external locus of control while comparatively Hockey players have less External locus of control as per mean value. and for the Comparative analysis One- way analysis was done which reveals that there was significant difference among games with at F (3,597) =6.144, P<.05. Since there was Significant Difference among game players scheffe’s post hoc analysis was done and Results depicted significant Difference between Handball and Hockey Players. Mean score of Handball was found to be 11.49 and mean score of Hockey stands at 10.02 with Mean difference 1.473 which is significant at 0.05 level in Locus of Control.
