Association Between Cyberbullying Perpetration, Socio-Emotional Competence, and Mental Health Among Adolescents

Abstract
Abstract - With the advent of technology in today’s era, the world and adolescents have been attracted to internet usage at an extreme level. The increased access to the computer and internet has led to an increase in cyberbullying amongst adolescents. The present study focuses on the relative contribution of variables such as mental health and social-emotional competence in cyberbullying. About 391 adolescents aged 14-16 years from the Punjab region were included in the entire sample and the significant results were obtained after using the stepwise multiple regression analysis, leading to the conclusion that increased socio-emotional competence and good mental health lead to lower cyberbullying rates amongst the adolescents.
