Flow Characteristics of Fluid Flow Through Multilayer Porous Media Using the Homotopy Analysis Method

Abstract
Multi-layer flows through multi-layer porous media can be found in several applications in science and engineering. Examples of these flows are the flow of ground water and oil. The problem has received a great deal of research in the past few years. In this work, we present a new method to solve the multi-layer boundary value problem associated with this flow phenomena. We will consider the flow through four channels with finite depth. The method to be used is the homotopy analysis method. The flow is assumed to be modeled by DLB model. We will assume that these layers have different permeability. The results obtained suggest that the method is reliable and very efficient.
