Role of Women Entrepreneurship in Promoting Women Empowerment
The current study aims at exploring the effect of entrepreneurial skills of women in promoting women
empowerment. A total of 169 women entrepreneurs were surveyed from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) located in
north-west India, i.e., Gujarat. The statistical tools, like confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation
modelling (SEM) were applied for data analysis. Result reveals that women entrepreneurship positively and significantly
leads to women empowerment in emerging economies like India. The study is confined to examining only women
empowerment as a consequence of women entrepreneurship.
