Production of Alumina/Ni Nanocomposites by Heterogeneous Precipitation Method and Pressureless Sintering
In the present study, Al2O3/Ni composites with different Ni volume ratios (1, 3, 5vol.%) were prepared by the
heterogeneous precipitation method by pressureless sintering at 1450-1550°C for 2h. The structural and mechanical
properties of the composites were characterized by XRD, SEM and Vickers Indentation technique, respectively.
Homogeneous microstructure could be obtained in all composites. The effects of Ni content and sintering temperature on
densification and mechanical properties were analyzed.
