Contributing Authors of Research Articles by Countries in Four Leading Educational Technology Journals
The main purpose of this article to identify the main contributors of educational technology research articles
published by four leading educational technology journals from around the world. The findings presented in this article is a
part of a larger study on epistemological and methodological analysis of educational technology research published in one
year. 244 educational technology articles published in the four leading journals in 2013 were downloaded and analyzed by
content analysis procedure to determine the composition of contributors of research articles by countries. One of the major
finding of this study is that although the journals are of international standards, most of the articles published are by authors
of the parent country where the articles are published. The findings also show the composition of authors cumulatively for all
the four journals as well as by each journals independently.
