Abstract : the modification of the subject is needed to be considered with concern on character education.From previous workshops on character education, teachers in SMP Islam Athirah Makassar have tried to implement their knowledge to the student thus, we held an initial research regarding character education of its subject in that school. This research used qualitative approach using the case study by collecting the data through both of interview and observation technique. We discovered that character educations in planning and implementation step were held well in the subject of civic education, even thought, there are components must be developed specially on development matter and evaluation technique. The component such as: matter, media and learning sources have supported the character education in learning process. Focus on evaluation technique, the teacher must perform some modifications using various assessment Technique. Keywords: Implementation, Character Education, Civic Education
