Abstract : The significance of ICT in the governance has been accepted by the world for rapid growth of the countries. The implementation of e-Governance directly affects various elements of good governance such as transparency, accountability, participation, social integration, public services reforms and development. Despite the many e-Governance initiatives and massive investments in information communication technologies, public transportation sector in India requires more focus to enhance quality service delivery, infrastructure, integration and interoperable services. The active participation of Public-Private partnership (PPP) in the governance process could boost the processes and the functionalities of the development. This paper represents brief introduction of public transportation, conceptual view about the Public-Private partnerships and some success stories and introduction of PPP in public transportation which acts as the vehicle for the development of e-Governance in the public transportation to provide quality service delivery to the society.
