Abstract : Relationship between human and nature of the earth is vital which is diminishing day by day even after having empowerment of world’s greatest technologies. Rapid growth in urban population coupled with economic growth and rise in community living standards have resulted in generations of huge quantities of municipal solid waste posing serious problems to municipalities and corporations in terms of collection and disposal of solid waste. The current work reviews a Study and Statistical Survey of current municipal solid waste, present scenario of Management and Handling of Municipal waste through Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) entrusted with responsibility. The objective of our work is to determine efficient collection, segregation, recycling and disposal of municipal solid waste. The primary study has been determined if there are any unsatisfactory treatment of Municipal solid waste in and around Bengaluru hence making an attempt to identify solutions for current or future arising problems thereby creating healthy green environment for livelihood in metropolitan cities like Bengaluru.
