Abstract : The main objective of this analysis is to improve the efficiency of oil seal production. Since defective products is
considered as one of the main factors contributing to the magnitude of production efficiency, it is being considered as the
factor to be reduced. This is performed by employment of lean six sigma which is a well known tool for problem solving
scenarios. The DMAIC methodologies aids in understanding the flow of process and detection of flaws in such
manufacturing processes.
Keywords - Six Sigma, Bar Chart, Lean Manufacturing, Statistic Process Control, Cause and Effect Diagram
Case Study - This paper about a production firm which is producing oil seals in mass quantity. It also focuses on the quality
of the oil seals. Oil seals are being employed between stationary parts and moving parts in order to avoid leakage of
lubricant.
