Article Citation :Michal Mara ,Romana Lovichova ,Jindrich Fornusek , (2019 ) " Resistance of Ultra High-Performance Concrete with Basalt Addition against Projectile Impact " , International Journal of Advances in Mechanical and Civil Engineering (IJAMCE) , pp. 63-67, Volume-6,Issue-2

Abstract : The aim of this paper is focused on the influence of the basalt as a coarse aggregate in ultra high-performance concrete (UHPC) on its resistance against extreme load. The paper deals with a projectile impact resistance of ultra highperformance steel-fibre-reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) in terms of depth of penetration and size of the crater. The samples made of UHPFRC with different types and quantities of basalt were designed and produced, to be subjected to impact loading in the form of projectile impact. Damaged surface of samples were scanned by means of a 3D scanner and the damaged parts was evaluated. The main goal of the paper was to find the optimum content of basalt as a coarse aggregate in the mixture in order to improve its resistance against projectile impact. Keywords - Ultra High-performance concrete, UHPC,UHPFRC, coarse aggregate, basalt, projectile impact, depth of penetration, crater surface, 3D scanning.
