Review of Detection and Prevention Approaches of DDOS Attacks

Abstract
Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks are the terrorizing preliminaries on the Internet that drains the system data transfer capacity or debilitates the victim’s resources. Researchers have presented different guard mechanisms against DDoS attacks, but such attacks are still developing year by year, and the perfect fix of this issue is evaded up until this point. In this paper, an analysis of different approaches used to identify DDoS attacks and preventive measures has been given which intend to dive deep understanding into the DDoS issue for the newcomers in this research area.
