Abstract : Based on research conducted using 200 managers and employees, a clear connection was found linking Career Development deficiencies to loss in Human Capital values. Results also uncovered severe potential consequences that businesses may face due to “un” or “under” developed Career Development initiatives. This research document examines how lacking in Career Development affects Human Capital values and talent retention. A recommendation is made in aid of better retaining high valued Human Capital through the use of Career Development initiatives.
