Innovative, Self-Directed Virtual Reality based Approach for Promoting Relaxation through Open Eye Meditation: A Pilot Study based Application Development

Abstract
Meditation is the process that promotes relaxation for both mind and body. Different meditation techniques are practiced by people around the globe irrespective of caste, religion or region. Body posture may differ from each form of meditation but the eyes can only be kept open or closed. Open eye meditation has its own advantage but at the same time, there are a wide chances of getting distracted due to the surroundings. This paper aims at providing an innovative solution based on virtual reality to promote relaxation through open eye meditation.
