Abstract : Employment is essential in one‟s life. It gives access to financial security, skills and knowledge in which these are desired by both the able-bodied and disabled individuals in order to increase their positions and to be recognized by others. In reality, youth with different abilities (YWDA) have difficulties to secure employment and hence, they are mostly underemployed. Their capabilities were underestimated by many which makes it harder for them to contribute significantly in the labor force. The purpose of this study is to examine YWDA‟s awareness on the importance of reskilling. To understand this issue, relevant data was solicited from 15 YWDA via the unstructured interview. Research participants were recruited via the snowball sampling technique. All of them completed their schooling and are unemployed. Their age range is between 18-36 years old. Findings of this research unraveled that reskilling i) strengthens their skills which boost their confidence and ii) digital transformation helps to tap their potentials. To showcase their capabilities, opportunities must be paved for them in any organization. Reskilling YWDA does not only transform them personally. In fact, it gives a more positive image particularly to their potential employers. Indeed, employment for the YWDA goes beyond the financial security. Their inclusion in the labor force and being empowered in the society are crucial to shape them to become leaders of tomorrow. All these can drive them towards greater success in life.
