Abstract : Data-Centric Architecture promotes the use of data as a driving force in formulating the process flows and utilizing this data to design systems under a generic information backbone feeding processes under a normalized warehouse of information which can be used as a common interface to suffice multiple scenarios in system design and development. With the growing needs of the system developed, the need to control the amount of data transmitted between mediums is rising and it is an evident need to optimize such voluminous amounts of data and formulate a generic framework to refine, associate, store and share information across software components. This paper talks about how Data Distribution Service (DDS) is used to define an information store house which can be called as a Common Information Model serving the needs of all the configurable items in the project life cycle taking naval tactical systems as a use case.
