Abstract : Abstract - When conducting daily duties, the visually handicapped experience a number of difficulties. These tasks could include distinguishing between things with shapes that are alike or understanding the contents of a menu. Therefore we intend to create solutions that could be effective to aid the visually handicapped in recognizing their close by objects and areas. This paper proposes a system that can be used as an aid for blind people in sensing the surroundings around them and identifying the distances of objects in their niche to avoid colliding with obstacles.
