Paper Title :
Review of the Agency Theory from Theoretical Perspective

Author :Mohammed S Makni

Article Citation :Mohammed S Makni , (2022 ) " Review of the Agency Theory from Theoretical Perspective " , International Journal of Management and Applied Science (IJMAS) , pp. 74-79, Volume-8,Issue-9

Abstract : Abstract - The purpose of this study is to examine the agency theory from a theoretical point of view, using empirical evidences. It intends to use a literature review to assess the key ideas, point of views, issues and problems pertinent to the agency theory. The study evaluates the agency theory from a theoretical perspective as well as the different concepts and problems inherent in it. It then records empirical proofs regarding the methods that can be used to minimize the agency cost. There is conflict of interest and agency cost because the ownership is separate from control, there are distinct risk preferences, information is asymmetrical and moral risks are present. Various solutions have been presented in the previous studies, such as powerful ownership regulation, managerial ownership, autonomous board members and distinct communities which can play a valuable part in regulating the agency conflicts and the costs they incur. The practitioners and researchers will obtain a better understanding of the agency problem through this literature review, and will be able to analyze how to deal with this problem. Keywords - Agency Cost, Agency Problem, Ownership Separate
