Abstract : Abstract - Bokeh effect is an artistic effect that serves the purpose of focusing the attention of the audience on the main object in focus while blurring out all the out of focus areas. It generally means the soft defocus that is a result of small aperture and variable shutter settings .Cameras like DSLR can render this effect while clicking the pictures but smartphones are not capable of providing this effect. A lot of work has been done in the area of rendering bokeh effect but very little work has been done in optimizing the boundaries between blur and focused objects. This work presents ways to improve bokeh effect by applying intelligently. This work also provides solutions to some corner cases in bokeh world like (1) Minor features like lace of shoes getting blurred (2) Custom objects cannot be undone (3) Blur being applied uniformly regardless of object distance from camera. Our work presents 3 modules where the first module is responsible for applying bokeh effect with sharp boundaries, the second module applies the bokeh mode with professional modes and the third module applies the side view parallax. Keywords - Bokeh Effect, Parallax, Transformation, DSLR
