Abstract : The National Agricultural Market (e-NAM) was launched in 2016 as an online platform to facilitate the marketing of agricultural produce in India. However, ensuring the quality of the agricultural commodities traded on this platform remains a major challenge. Traditional methods of manual quality assessment are time-consuming, subjective, and prone to human errors. To address this challenge, an Electronic Quality Assessment Solution for Agricultural Commodities (e-Quality) is proposed in this paper. The e-Quality system utilizes image processing and machine learning algorithms to automate the quality assessment process. This paper provides a detailed description of the e-Quality system, its working mechanism, and its advantages over traditional methods. The proposed system has the potential to improve the efficiency and accuracy of quality assessment in the e- NAM platform during remote transaction, leading to better prices for farmers and a more transparent and fair agricultural market.
