Abstract : Background: The potential for using blockchain to enhance security in e-voting systems is discussed in this study along with a review of the literature on data security, data encryption, and data privacy. Methods: Basic encryption algorithms such as RSA, DSA were studied for the use of data transfer and data security. Studies that implemented e-Voting based on most Ethereum are criticized. Various cryptographic algorithms such as ECC, Blowfish and random key generation are discussed with their benefits. Traditional voting systems result in a lengthy process and some modern implementations such as Electronic Voting Machines are susceptible to tampering. Findings: A distributed ledger system called blockchain technology enables secure, open transactions without the use of intermediaries. Although its most well-known use is in the support of crypto currencies like Bitcoin, there are several industries besides finance where it could find use. Scalability and accessibility remain significant hurdles that must be surmounted for its widespread adoption. Novelty and applications: Blockchain based e-Voting offers a promising solution. Hyperledger Fabric, a privatized blockchain implementation offers favorable tools for overcoming the stated issues. The decentralized and tamper-proof ledger allows voters to cast their ballots anonymously and securely, while the blockchain ensures transparency, immutability, and auditability of the voting process Keywords - Blockchain, Data Security, Data Encryption, E-voting, Hyperledger Fabric
