Abstract : Several project management techniques have evolved to meet varied project requirements. Applying the proper project management technique is crucial for completing projects quickly and effectively, in particular for the projects where stakes are high. There are no specific rules that may be followed to choose the best PM strategy. However, critically assessing the pros and cons of various strategies might significantly help in making the right decision for a particular project. In general, Satellite projects are often complex and quite expensive with project requirements changing dynamically. A small delay in project completion can result in a significant loss of revenue and market share. As a result, satellite industry is replacing the traditional project management technique with more efficient and modern ones. In this paper, an effective project management technique called Hybrid PM technique is proposed, which combines the best of two most commonly used PM techniques viz. Traditional PM (also known as Waterfall model) and Agile PM techniques for a satellite project. Acronyms - Project Management (PM), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Program Evaluation Review Technique (PERT), Critical Path Method (CPM), Electric Propulsion System (EPS), Low Earth Orbit (LEO), CCM (Critical Chain Method) Keywords - Project Management Techniques, Traditional, Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid, Satellite Project Management
