Abstract : In this study, the braking efficiency of motor vehicles under various operating conditions, such as road
conditions, tire type, and vehicle loading, is analyzed. In addition, the distribution of braking force on the front and rear axles
is optimized to improve braking efficiency. This article examines the relationship between the type of braking and the
vehicle's safety under braking conditions, specifically when the wheels do not lock or when the front wheels lock before the
rear wheels. In braking mode, the vehicle model is considered two-dimensional, and longitudinal motion equations are used.
The influence of operating conditions and load on the optimal distribution of braking force on the front axle is also
investigated. The results indicate that the optimal distribution of braking force on the front axle can be used to design a
controller that prevents the rear wheels from locking prematurely.
