Abstract : In the contemporary era of advanced cosmetic techniques, the traditional practice of face-threading skincare, also known as "Wan-Lian" in Chinese, faces the double challenges of preserving its rich heritage while also embracing innovation in this longstanding facial technique. The purpose of this action research was to explore the legacy of facethreading skincare and offer an innovative proposal and insights into the face-threading industry. An action research study with five objectives was conducted, including focus-group interviews with consumers, in-depth interviews with facethreading technicians, test programs of four proposed schemes, a patent application, and a proposal of inheritance practices.
