Abstract : Significant developments in information technology have contributed to the emergence and use of online
platforms that have enabled the sharing of goods, services and information, while expanding collaboration between
individuals as one aspect of the sharing economy. These are new trends in education that affect the roles, training, tenure as
well as the approach of educational institutions. They also contribute to the success or failure of efforts to integrate new
technologies. On the other hand, there are universities that struggle to reconcile personal perceptions of and responses to
these global trends with what motivates (or inhibits) them to actively participate and engage in distance education. The paper
deals with new challenges in the field of education with a focus on the real estate sector.
