Abstract : In the background of the transition and transformation in the digital age, the role and importance of social media
marketing is increasing day by day, due to the fact that by using it, a person can reach the public quickly and easily,
therefore, social media marketing has turned out to be an indispensable method for businesses that actively use marketing
tools for active communication with customers, this method is mainly It has become attractive for business companies in the
tourism sector, such as: accommodation, food and transportation sectors. In tourism, social media marketing has gained a lot
of importance, the success of companies in this sector has mainly depended on customer reviews, in order to gain a
competitive advantage and Companies try to ensure customer satisfaction as much as possible, in order to receive positive
reviews and increase demand.There are many tourism businesses in the world that have established a special place in the
market by properly using social media marketing channels and campaigns, these companies have created an image for active
tourists and potential tourism service recipients as an international tourism business. Although the directions of tourism and
social media marketing in Georgia are still in the process of development, their fusion has led to positive results for both of
them, trends and strategies have been formed as a result of their synthesis to improve the situation of companies and
consumers and ensure the maximum welfare, although there are still problems and challenges that hinder tourism Through
the correct and targeted use of social media marketing, the sharing of theoretical knowledge and foreign practical experience,
it is possible to develop solutions and recommendations.
