Abstract : This paper seeks to determine whether there is an actual link between trade and the immigration. In order to address
this objective, the paper takes the trade between Turkey and U.K as a case study. It is clear that Turkish communities in the UK
not only contributed to the country’s economy in terms of taxes, they have also helped to create demand for Turkish products
which has correspondingly increased the import of such products into the country. In addition, research also indicated the
opposite, in terms of the direction of trade, as the profile of the UK and its products and businesses has increased in Turkey as
more and more people develop a link with the country through the extended families living in the UK. This in turn has helped
to increase bidirectional trade between the two countries, a fact that received very little attention in the literature.
