Evaluation of Data Transmission Using Parameters in Normal and Covert Mode In VANETS

Abstract
Security is an importance issue in wireless networks resembling VANETS scenario because these networks are mobile and these are more lying in the front of attacks. So, to protect the data from the eavesdroppers a technique proposed in which data is being transmitting by using normal mode and covert mode in the same communication scenario so that it is unable to detect by the attacker about the data mode . In this paper, these two modes analyzed by using parameters like End to End Delay, Packet Drop, Packet Drop and Packet Delivery ratio (PDR) and Throughput individually. This analysis done with the help of NS2 simulator. Keywords— Covert Mode, Normal Mode, VANET, PDR.
