Abstract : This paper identified the system and procedure of data recording and information search of missing persons based on hand-on experiences of agencies associated with missing person tracing service in Thailand. This study employed a qualitative approach utilizing in- depth interview and focus group methods with the story- telling technique. The contribution of the findings was the development of a primary database of missing persons named Missing Person Recording Center or MPRC, by using the portal of SuanSunandhaRajabhat University. The main findings unveiled different procedures of data recording and information search system of missing persons across the sample agencies. The findings also exhibited significant roles of agencies providing services in regards to the missing person problem ranging from producing practical handbooks for families of the missing and bringing the problem of missing persons into policy attention and long term solutions.
