Usage of Search Engines Among Women Post Graduation Students – A Case Study of Karnataka State Women’s University, Bijpaur

Abstract
Information Communication Technology (ICTs) has changed the concept of education in the era of information. Today information is easily available to the students. The technology has made the process of education easier ever before to transfer and access the information. Students, pursuing higher studies are using search engines extensively to attain their academic needs. This study attempts to find out the importance of search engines among post graduation students and it also tries to find out to what level search engines are useful to accomplish their respective goal. Research is done by surveying 120 women post graduation students of Karnataka State Women’s University, Bijapur using structured questionnaire. It is evident from the study that most of the students use Google search engine to get required information Keywords - Internet, Search engine, usage, PG students.
