Blockchain-Based eGovernment Services: Familiarizing the Public on Expected Value

Abstract
Blockchain technology is an innovation heralded to revolutionize eGovernment services but actual implementation is lagging. In this paper we investigate the factors hindering blockchain-based eGovernment services and provide non-technical issues such as organizational and socio-economic as plausible reasons for the lag.
