The Evolution of Social Media Analytics: A Review of the Last Decade

Abstract – INSERT This article aims to analyze systematic literature reviews related to the approach of social media analytics in industry. Social media is an extremely popular and important driver for information gathering and dissemination in various fields, such as business. Due to the proliferation and usage of social media applications and the extent of its usage, it is becoming increasingly diffuse. Today, a growing number of social media applications are creating new business opportunities and the need for social media analytics. Despite the - rapid growth of social media, which offers businesses the opportunity to connect with millions of customers worldwide, many companies still refer to social media analytics as an experiment as they try to understand how best to use the various channels. is expected to become much more popular in the near future. The aim of this review is to classify the literature on social media analytics from 2010 to early 2020, identify the main areas and sectors where social media analytics are currently used, describe the technical solutions used, and summarize the main benefits that can be achieved with this type of technology.
