Paper Title
The Complementariness of Intelligence Capital and Knowledge Capital: Moderating Effect of Industrial Environment

Abstract
This research tries to examine the causal relation between enterprise competitive advantage and its performance from the perspective of resource-based views. The author of this paper firstly categorized the different kinds of competitive advantages as internal and external ones, with the former being analyzed by Barney’s VRIS theory which attaches great importance to knowledge capital and intelligence capital. And the latter as for the external competitive advantage, it is mainly discussed in line with the Five Forces Analysis from the perspective of Porter’s industrial environment. It is concluded from this study that a single competitive advantage could exert positive influence on the enterprise performance. However, when the external competitive advantage is combined with its internal counterpart, the external environment would also cast a negative effect on the synergy. Keywords— Resource-based perspective, Competitive advantage, Performance, VRIS, Knowledge capital, Intelligence capital, industrial environment.
