The Role of Supply Chain Management Practices in Achieving Organizational Performance Through Competitive Advantage in Sri Lankan SMES

Abstract
Supply chain management has been devoted an emerging concern by the present business organizations. It is evident that better management practices are practiced only the large business organizations and less attention is paid by small and medium scale organizations. Even though it is discussed about the growth and survival of SMEs, these aspects are still neglected by practice. In order to fill the gap, this paper intends to examine the relationship between Supply Chain Management practices (SCM) and the organizational performance. Further, previous studies shows that this relationship mediated by competitive advantage (CA). Therefore, this research examines the mediation effect of competitive advantage empirically. Results revealed that the correlation is significant among three constructs and there is a partial mediation between SCM practices and organizational Performance.
