Abstract : The objectives of this research was to study the current and desirable states of secondary school management to enhance the accountability.The study applied a mixed method approach. The sample population were 2359, secondary schools under the office of the Basic Education Commission. The objective were 342 secondary schools under the office of the Basic Education Commission. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, and standard deviation.The research results showed that 1) In general, the current state of the secondary school management to enhance the accountability was performed at the middle level (x= 3.160, S.D = .56). While considering ach aspect, Physical and Emotional well-being of student had the highest average (x= 3.348, S.D = .57). The desirable state of the secondary school management to enhance the accountability was performed at a highest levelas a whole. While considering each aspect, Improving the capacity of teacher and school management had the highest average (x= 4.932, S.D = .
