Abstract : Human capital is a relatively new idea. Today, it might appear obvious to us that education enhances the productivity of the workforce, but the broader concept of human capital only developed during the last quarter of the twentieth century. The paper can be broadly divided into two sections. The one section is devoted to understanding the measurement of human capital and to relate the human capital models to reality.
