Abstract : This study aims to 1) analyze the effect of paternalistic leadership style on employees in-role performance. 2) To analyze the effect of affective trust and cognitive as a mediator. The scope of this study is the assessment of perceived in-role performance. The sample of the study consists of civil servant that has functional and structural position. Results indicated that there is little effects on paternalistic leadership on in-role performance and the cognitive trust has had a positive mediating effect between paternalistic leadership and in-role performance
