Abstract : Abstract - The purpose of this paper is to introduce due diligence obligations and bans in the framework of the German Supply Chain Act and to explore how this law can be implemented for better sustainability in global value chains using the insights from supplier relationship management (SRM). The findings contribute to the emerging literature on the impact of sustainability on the management of indirect suppliers and seem to be relevant to those focal companies which are undertaking due diligence.
