Abstract : The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of Playing Computer (PC)-based games on mathematics motivation among elementary school students. The research method was a quasi-experimental design with a control-group pretest-posttest design. Statistical population of this research includes all six-grade girl students of elementary school in Birjand during 2019-2020 educational years. In this case, first the teacher presented the lesson completely to the students then in test group computer games were used as an exercise for the concept being taught. Meanwhile in control group the exercises were done in the already way. Generally, the study took seven game periods, each of approximately 45-minutes in length, to complete. Covariance analysis was used for data analysis. The results showed that the interest in math scores, the Math self-esteem and the intrinsic motivation of the experimental group are more than the control group's post-test scores. The difference between intrinsic motivation of the group receiving the educational game (experimental group) and that of the control group was not statistically significant. It seems that Math training through PC-based games can improve the attitude toward Math and increase the enjoyment of students from the Mathematical course, increase the motivation of students to learn Math, foster the importance of Math for students and reduce fear and worry of them about Math. Keywords - PC-based games, Mathematic, Motivation, Elementary School
