Abstract : Construction and Demolition debris is now days very sensitive and highly focused problem and its systematic
handling is leading to a sustainable technique for construction sectors in India. High rate of growing construction activities
and redevelopment projects as per infrastructure demands tends to automatically develop high amount of C &D debris.
Hence, this increasing production of C&D debris requires more attention and better systematic approach in handling it for
future generations for the construction industry. India by 2050 is estimated to produce 750 million tonnes of C&D debris.
This technical Paper report will give an idea about the quantity of C&D debris produced in India and overview of steps
taken by Indian construction sectors and governing authorities to tackle it.
