Abstract : One of the functions of individual banking which has a crucial effect on our daily life is credit cards. Using a credit card is a form of borrowing. There are many features (criteria) and several kind of credit cards (alternatives) to consider. The consumers have some doubts to choose the best credit card and how to provide the best utility maximization. The aim of this study to eliminate the doubts of consumers. The evaluation of all alternatives is a decision-making problem. PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation) and GAIA (geometrical analysis for interactive aid) method which would act as a visual decision aid to the decision maker was applied for choosing among offered credit cards by different banks. This study is thought to be useful for consumers and organizations which offer this service.The case study shows that the application of MCDM method provides reasonable results.
