Abstract : Rich internet applications introduced extensive improvements upon the traditional web applications. These
improvements resulted in multifaceted enhancements of the web applications including better responsiveness and information
flow, improved user experience, enhanced interactivity etc. but on the other hand introduced new challenges. One of the
important problems is the difficulty to automatically crawl these websites. Crawling web applications is important for
indexing, accessibility and security assessment. Crawling traditional web applications is an old problem, as old as the web
itself. Crawling Rich Internet Applications (RIA) quickly and efficiently, however, is an open problem. Moreover we explain
the adaptive of Crawling RIA. In this paper we survey the challenges on crawling rich internet application, further more the
existing issues and open problems.
