Abstract : In this age of cut throat competition, businesses are increasingly looking to ways that can help continuously improve their processes by ensuring a highly quality output at a minimum cost. Supply chains have also started realizing that they must assess and attain sustainability in order to remain competitive. Despite the growing emphasis by practitioners and academics, on enforcing and measuring sustainability, the assessment of sustainability in service supply chains still remains unexplored. Service organizations have started realizing that they must assess sustainability in their supply chains in order to be more competitive. This paper suggests a framework of sustainability in service supply chains. This research aims to expand the conceptualization of sustainability beyond triple bottom line, to propose a framework for measuring sustainability in service organizations and to explore the impact of proposed model on the performance of service supply chains of United Arab Emirates (UAE). The empirical data will be collected through a survey distributed to a sample of major service organizations in the UAE. A conceptual framework will be then tested and analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Proposed framework can act as a base model for the development of a comprehensive benchmark to assess the performance of the fast growing service industry. This kind of a benchmark would also be beneficial for regulatory authorities. Keywords- Service Supply Chains, Sustainability, Structural Equation Modeling, UAE.
